Paciente de 44 años en tratamiento con finas/minox y antecedentes de 3 cirugías por tira entre los años 2000/2004 con mala supervivencia y huellas visibles en su cuero cabelludo. Dichas cicatrices le suponen un trauma por lo que rogó realizar las intervenciones sin rasurar, sin importar el número de cirugías. En el primer procedimiento se extrajeron 1551 grafts (3097 pelos; 2.0 pelos/graft; 50 a 55 micras de pelo; 0.8/0.9 mm punch; 339FU1/888FU2/ 314FU3/ 10FU4) para reforzar la zona frontal y media (no se adelantó la primera línea, se rasuraron los primeros centímetros para facilitar la inserción). Al año le tocó dar densidad a la primera línea y reparar coronilla con otras 1601 grafts (3281 pelos; 2.05 pelos/graft; 0.9 mm punch; 312FU1/915FU2/ 357FU3/ 17FU4). El paciente comenta que en la segunda operación no tuvo shedding de lo injertado por lo que presentó crecimiento temprano a los 5 meses tal como muestra la longitud del pelo sobre todo en el frontal.
